President’s Message
Ciao a Tutti!
We hosted our final Crab feed March 22nd. Of course, it was another wonderful turnout, especially since we featured Clam Risotto! Thank you to our amazing cooks who make all of this possible!
March was the month of sold-out feasts for St. Patrick’s Day. Our ever-popular Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinners were well attended. We had three phenomenal celebrations. Special thanks to the Women’s Auxiliary who not only hosted a nearly sold-out event, but they also had a troupe of Irish Dancers perform!
April will not be out done by March. As you all know, our April Birthday dinner entrée will feature our ever-famous Sausage & Peppers! These dinners are always a sell-out, so please make your reservations “ASAP.”
A couple of reminders:
- Our annual Membership Dues are now past due. These funds are critical to the operation of the Club. If you have not paid your dues, you may still pay them.
- Please include a $50 late fee in addition to the $275. You may pay your dues online. Thank you for your continued membership and support of our Club!
- If you have a friend who you believe would enjoy being a member of the Colombo Club, please consider sponsoring them; membership applications are available online.
- If you have an idea for an event that you’d like to see held at our Club, and/or if you would like to volunteer at our Club, then please contact me at my email address below. This is your club, don’t be afraid to get involved – we love having new faces help out.
Here are some easy ways to help:
- Attend a work party (lunch provided!)
- Volunteer to help sell incentive tickets
- Donating a prize to our incentive program
- Running prizes to that lucky winner
Thank you to everyone who donates and participates in our Incentive Program at our Birthday Dinners. It’s the proceeds from this program that provides the funds necessary to keep our Club maintained and in good working order!
I look forward to seeing you at the Colombo Club this month!
Ciao!
Joe Ianora, President
P.S. – I am looking for two special people, one with a solid working knowledge of sound systems (for advice on updating our system in the ballroom); and one with knowledge around “sound dampening” (for our downstairs banquet hall).
